Fostering can be both a rewarding and wonderful experience.  Foster handles will house and train our dogs through certification with the AKC good citizen canine certification. Training cosists of basics like sit stay, come, go, and distrction avoidance. Once a dog is certified they may go on to specialty training like PTSD or they may become a therapy dog and be placed. It is reqarding to know that you not only rescued the dog but the final handler as well. If you have the time, space, and pationts to train you can call our foster coordinator to learn more.
